Cailla Quinn

Hi, I’m Cailla!

VISUAL ARTIST.
GARDENER.
INTUITIVE HOSTESS.

I’M AN EXPERT AT THE ART OF LOVING + LIVING.

::::::::::::::::::::::::

My vision for EPHEMIRUS is built on my love for the arts and 20+ years in the hospitality industry. My admiration for art was sparked when I was young, but my creative career truly began at Parsons School of Design where I received a BFA in photography. While there, I ran artist studios, oversaw archives, curated exhibitions and produced special events in the documentary world.

My appreciation of food, wine + human connection led me to the restaurant world for over two decades, curating personalized experiences for guests. But my craving to create again and work with my hands led me to fine gardening, landscaping, and floral design.

Nature has always been my lifelong caretaker, best friend, confidant, and guide. And thus, working in the earth as well as with fresh-cut flowers and foliage engages my love of the 5 senses. I am also a sculptor, and fiber artist and create with mixed media- all different mediums that I believe can inspire and make the floral design so exciting.

It's important to me that my work is intentional, intuitive, and visually stunning. I want my florals to always feel like thoughtful gift-giving.

When I'm not designing, I love to travel, break bread with family + friends, soak in the ocean, and connect with creatures large and small.

Having grown up in coastal Massachusetts, Im inspired by the New England terroir, soundscapes, cookbooks, dawn + dusk, and people-watching.
